Weather Conditions At Treaty Port
Shandong
Province as a whole enjoys a mild climate with temperatures similar to Mediterranean countries. East Shandong is shielded from the worst of winter by the
Bohai
Sea which surrounds us. The sea’s effect is to reduce the temperature variations between summer and winter.
Whilst
Shandong receives more than its fair share of summer rain, the mountains which border our estate serve as a natural barrier against the heaviest downpours. An optimum level of rainfall means Treaty Port’s soil retains more of its natural minerals (reducing use of artificial fertilizers).
