Moushi Villa

 

The history of Moushi Villa can be traced back to its foundation in 1723 by local Jiaodong aristocrat. Today it is the largest remaining early modern plantation villa in northern China and a glance at its courtyards reveals much about the region’s traditional architecture.

 

The scale of the villa is such that it is divided into three areas; each one containing six courtyards of its own. Highlights of any visit are sure to include the main gate, reception rooms, a the sumptuous bedrooms, all of which offer fascinating insights into the area’s unique local culture.
